Yesterday I was photographing Willets as they came in to land on a sand bar at DinG Darling NWR. Here's one of my favorite shots. I love the way there is just one drop of water on the tip of the bill.
Willets are a plain, gray, large, common shorebird. Unexciting until they open their wings, then wow!
