B & B, Birding and Breakfast

This weekend, eating breakfast and birding at the same time. Times like these are our favorite moments of the day. Do you have a place on your property where you can sit a moment with binoculars and look at birds? Think about creating one, even if its a bench looking at your bird feeders that you sit on for a few moments a day or a weekend. If you have a place, you will sit, see more and enjoy more. You will feel less stressed, more connected to nature. It will nurture your soul and enhance your life. Really.

I wholeheartedly agree. I spend a lot of my spare time in the spring and summer outside, sitting in our adirondack chairs, listening to and watching the birds. It's the best time of the day!

How true that statement is. I have been slowly turning my middle of the city backyard into a nice bird habitat. I now have 32 yard birds! Including some nice mountain species this year, like Pine Siskin, Mountain Chickadee and Red-breasted Nuthatch!

Love your birdie blog; but I must admit Phoebe is the star to me! Thanks for posting your lovely photos. ^..^

Since I am retired and our weather is pretty good most of the year, I sit on our patio which is surrounded by shrubs and trees, also giant birdof paradise trees. I have my camera and my binoculars at hand. The little waterfall is about 10 feet away and the feeding station about 20 feet away. I could sit there all day every day!

Yes, and some days I think I'm going to sit out on my patio and read, but I get distracted, very distracted - but I'm not complaining! ;o)
