SNOW

Early this morning I took this photo. It was so dim, the flash went off, capturing the big snowflakes of the heavy, wet snow which is falling. At least 6 inches predicted. That's on top of the 18 inches already here. So lets see...we're expecting spring in August.

I feel like I can hardly complain about the snow we have been getting. Here in "mild" Oregon, it is crazy to see snow at the end of March, but the last two days we have had some big wet flakes...no accumulation though. I'm sure you are tired of it. Come visit my blog for some spring photos!

This morning the sun was shining so bright and warm, but as I headed outside I realized it was ridiculously cold and extremely windy. Mental shock! I'm studying kestrels in nest boxes attached to power line poles, and nearly fell off my ladder. Last week it was all warmth and meadowlarks - what happened?

That's quite a bit of snow! I don't mean to brag, but it hit 80 degrees here in VA today. That's about 10 degrees warmer than normal. Birds have been loving it though. My Martins are back and I have bluebird eggs already!
