Moonscape


Last night the moon rose over the mountian of our view. My 500 mm Canon lens was already set-up on the tripod and I couldn't resist taking this photo of the moon. "Chance favors the prepared photographer."

The moon was so attractive for me, too, last night (here in San Jose, CA). I took several photos, too. I only had a 300mm lens, but some of them still turned out really nice. I'll have to edit the pix before posting them. But that will have to wait until I get back from vacation.

Mary, hope you got some nice moon shots also.
Mine were taken with a Canon Mark II camera with a Canon 500 mm lens plus a 2x teleconverter on the lens. The camera and lens were mounted on a big Gitzo 1325 carbon fiber tripod with a Whimberley head. To see a photo of my camera gear go to
